Agape on Winter Hiatus

Thanks to Joshua for teaching this week on confession and forgiveness, and for leading a really wonderful discussion.

This week's memory verse is:
She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins. "The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel" -- which means, "God with us." (Matthew 1:21, 23)

Agape is on hiatus for the winter holidays. We will start again on Sunday, January 9.

Winter Coats and Boots are now being passed out!

Our annual winter coat and boot sign-up is going on now... for more information, talk to Jackie on Sunday.

Thanks to Tina for leading an awesome teaching on Mark 5 this week, and to everyone who shared their own testimonies of seeing God's light when it seems like they are at the absolute end, and then discovering hope and transformation. It was a really powerful testimony to what God's doing in our lives.

Memory Verse for this week

Thanks to the worship pastors from Immanuel Bapist and Bridgeport for sharing the word and bringing communion this morning.

The memory verse this week is:

Hebrews 13:15-16
Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise -- the fruit of lips that openly profess his name. And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.

Studio time...

Tina & Juliet spent the last few weeks in the studio, and they are excited to share that their newest album, Advent Unplugged, will be released in just a few weeks, in time for the Christmas season.  All proceeds from the CD will go towards Agape's Fundraising. More info to come soon!

Performance Last Week!

Last weekend, Tina and Juliet travelled with Jackie into New York to perform at a Korean Church's rededication. After the performance, Juliet & Tina sold CDs and gave out autographs... they completely sold out! Through the sales of Tina's CD, Taken Up, we raised $200 towards the Agape Building fund.

Series on the Book of Mark

We have just begun a series covering the book of Mark, looking into Jesus, who he was, what he did, and how we can follow him in our lives today. Through this series we are trying to create a consistency in teaching, while also branching out into greater things, such as praying for each other, doing dramatic readings to bring the Bible to life, and engaging deeply with one another about how the Bible can affect our lives.
